Curvy model dreams big
VIVACIOUS curvy model Hazel Tsitsi Muchiwa (31) from Iconic Model Management Zimbabwe has set her eyes on the international market as she says nothing can stop her from cat-walking on the international beauty pageant shows.
Majoring in glamour, runways, ushering, event hosting, dance and musical videos, Hazel believes that failure is not an option when it comes to archiving what she desires.
In an exclusive interview with Celebrity, she said she has always wanted to look elegant from a tender age and that is what drove her into modelling.
“Growing up I always wanted to dress up and look good all the time as fashion is my passion. I believe that hard work yields success so I have to keep on running with time and being a woman of faith with God all things are possible,” said Hazel.
She said focus, determination and perseverance where her guiding principles and with them a person can become unstoppable.
The 31-year-old model applauded the modelling industry saying it was experiencing a tremendous growth with some models featuring on international scenes.
“The modelling industry has grown so big considering how we are also being recognized on an international scale,” she said.
Though, Hazel has not yet scooped any title, she believes that perseverance is a key to success and she will not give up on her modelling career until it yields fruitful results.
She said she drew her inspiration from the modelling icon Brita Masalethulini who said ‘you can be big and remain beautiful.’
Besides being a curvy model, Hazel, is an Insurance Broker who also believes that “wisdom is the principle thing, in all thy getting get wisdom”.
She said she likes traveling, watching movies, listening to music, cooking and baking and being around kids preaching and teaching, during her free time.
Asked about her Zimbabwean and international role models, Hazel said, “Danai Gurira and Lupita Nyong’o, these are dark skinned women who have conquered the world without changing themselves, it is a great thing when you take pride in who you are.”
She said when faced with emotional situations in the modelling industry and life as a whole she finds assistance if need be because dealing with situations alone can cause self-destruction.
“I am one person if l put my mind to something I become unstoppable so watch the space,” said Hazel.
