House of Stone premieres this December
House of Stone, a unique action packed crime feature film from the producers of State of Malambia, is set to premiere at Ster Kinekor, Joina City, on December 18, 2020. Like State of Malambia which premiered on Christmas Day in 2018, you will be talking about House of Stone this Christmas too.
The film follows Mark Mabhena, a hustler, who returns to Harare from New York, to bury his father. Mark’s wars are mounting; there is a rogue Interpol agent, Colette LeGrange, on his tail and Patrick Morake, a streetwise gangster claiming to be his brother and joint heir to the family estate. He has to fight to safeguard his inheritance, family legacy and the honour of being a descendent of the great King Munhumutapa.
What makes House of Stone stand out?
The film showcases a coterie of seasoned actors – Erin Sticklen is a top theatre actress in Zimbabwe, Ngoni Vere and Bianca Mapfumo in Wenera, Tapuwanashe Arimuzhu and Emma Banhu are in KuChina The Genesis, Admire Maramba is from Estate Blues and Marc makes his acting debut in the film. As if that were not enough, notable special flashback cameos from Eddie Sandifolo, Dalma Chiwerewa and Nothando Nobengula.
“We are introducing two very exciting new talents in Edmond Chamunorwa and Lorraine Kobekile,“ said Mandisoul.
The film was written and produced by Marc T Mandisoul of Entertainment Afrika Media Production in association with Jack’s Shack International, Kenako Studios and Rocks Media. Mandisoul has directed State of Malambia and videos for Buffalo Souljah and Roki.
From the looks of things as far as the trailer is concerned, The Celebrity Club is at liberty to declare that, at the lowest, House of Stone will take Best Picture at the NAMAs and bring home numerous accolades.
